Another update on services: as COVID-19 restrictions continue in place across the province, we will continue with Sabbath morning services via Zoom until further notice. Wednesday midweek meetings continue to be on Zoom as they were before the lockdown.

UPDATE: A message from our pastor regarding church services February 13 and 20:After careful consideration, as per NL Government restrictions stating that gatherings by faith-based organizations must be limited to 10 people for two weeks, we are inviting our entire church family to worship virtually via Zoom on February 13 and 20, 2021. We will not be having the church building open. Please note this is an UPDATE to our earlier post: there will NOT be a livestream service for these two weeks, only the Zoom service. For members, the Zoom link has been sent out by email and will be posted in the private church Facebook group; others can get the link by messaging the church Facebook page or emailing stjohnssda@gmail.com.We encourage everyone to consult our church website for the giving of tithes and offerings online. In these challenging times, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ encourages us “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that were I am, there you may be also” (John 14:1-3). We certainly look forward to that ‘new normal’; until then, let us remain encouraged that God will lead and guide us through these uncertain times.
